What we install
- Ground rods — 8ft copper-clad steel, driven and connected per code
- Ground rings and Ufer (concrete-encased) grounds — for new construction
- Water pipe bonding — the code-required bond to the metallic water service (if present)
- Bonding jumpers around water meters and dielectric unions
- Gas line bonding — required where the gas piping could become energized
Questions we get about this service
My water service is plastic — do I still need a bond?
You need a grounding electrode. If the water service is non-metallic, ground rods (or a Ufer) become the primary electrode. Any interior metal water piping still needs to be bonded.
